This print is a recreation of my original carved painting titles the 3 Gunas. The painting was carved in wood using a wood burner and painted using acrylic paint.
The 3 Gunas are states of mind or being that a person can be in.
The snake in the middle represents Sattva- which is the quality of balance and harmony.
The snake on the right represents Rajas- passion and activity which would be closely related to yang
The snake on the left represents Tamas- which is chaos, inactivity, dulnness apathy etc, which would be closely related to yin
The woman in the middle represents us as the seeker or one in meditation oscillating between these mental states
This print comes in 8 x 10 with an 11 x 14 mat or 11 x 14 with a 16 x 20 mat
